Family Time

The sun is out, it’s time to play
We’ve got the grandchildren over to stay
Time for bubbles, dolls house and toys
Not so sure it would be as easy with boys!

I love this time, it takes me back
When I played with my trains on a track
Giggling, being silly, just playing around
So much energy, running about all over the ground

It makes you feel young again as though you’re free
Then you collapse on to the comfy settee
I’m too old for this, my bones can’t take it
Girls, slow down, I just can’t make it

You can’t beat a bit of family time
It’s precious, fun and so sublime
Enjoy every minute as they’ll soon grow older
They won’t want to play, even give you the cold shoulder

This time Is precious, I love having them here
We’ll do it again of that there’s no fear
